Innovators in Rural Community Economic Development

STRATEGIC PLANNING, OUTCOME MEASUREMENT, EVALUATION

Yellow Wood’s experience tells us the work of our clients improves when systems are in place to provide regular feedback on progress toward well-defined goals. We believe the best and highest use of planning, evaluation, and measurement is to help clients learn what works and what doesn’t and what they need to change to become more effective. The world we work in is too complex to pretend that social change agents can attribute success to any single intervention; rather, we strive to help clients understand their contributions and to identify the partners they need to achieve success at a meaningful scale. We also believe that the people closest to the work should be actively engaged in assessing its impacts in real time rather than relying on after-the-fact third party assessments.
